Celebrating 15 Years

Fifteen year ago today

Fifteen year ago today I told the world before God, family, and friends that I would spend the rest of my life dedicated to Chrishna Carroll Fields. It was the culmination of a friendship that started 11 years earlier when this new girl from Louisiana joined the youth group at Pine Lake Baptist.

Through the years we shared so much good and bad that I could imagine no other person with whom I could spend forever. No other person with whom I would want to spend forever.

In the fifteen years since our wedding, we have had our share of Joy and Grief. We have mourned with each other. We have shared in each other’s joy. We have celebrated our anniversary in various ways through the years. Silly ways that make sense only to us.

One year, we both got our Notary Public credentials together.

Another year, we celebrated with matching tattoos.

 

 

However we have chosen to mark the date, it has always been and always will be a celebration of our lives together.

God has blessed us with so much through the years. We have two amazing boys. We are blessed with awesome friends and family. Through it all, we recognize that it is through God’s grace that we found each other.

I married my best friend. I am blessed that after fifteen years, I am still married to my best friend. Our relationship continues to grow. We grow stronger with each new trial.

Happy anniversary to my beautiful, strong, amazing wife.  Chrishna Carroll Fields. I love you and am so thankful God has seen fit to bless me by bringing you into my life.
